Well now! This is a far cry from my usual wheelchair post. Actually, I’m not quite sure how to go about this so I’ll just toss up some of the sellers information.
According to the seller, Constitution Arms- "The Palm Pistol is an ergonomically innovative single shot double action only defensive firearm chambered in 9mm that may be fired using either hand without regard to orientation of the stock. Suited for home defense, concealed carry or as a backup gun. It is also ideal for seniors, disabled or others who may have limited strength or manual dexterity."
Palm Pistol is a self defense only weapon that can be triggered by the users thumb. The stock is universal in shape making it equally potent regardless of which paw does the holding. Ambidextrous folks should really enjoy that feature.
Personally I have never owned a pistol. If I ever thought I needed to pack I would probably go for something big and intimidating. You know, something physically impressive enough to get assailants running without having to ever use it. Dirty Harry’s 44 mag comes to mind but something like that would probably scare me as much as it would my assailants. I guess Palm Pistol is a modern day spin up of the Derringer disguised as an adaptive device.
I can’t help but conjure up some weird scenarios involving this device. You know, “Back off! Don’t make me draw my adapted defensive weapon”, or in the words of Dirty Harry himself- “I know what you’re thinking. “Did he fire one shot or none?” Well, to tell you the truth, in all this excitement I kind of lost track myself. But being as this is a Palm Pistol, the most adaptive handgun in the world, you’ve got to ask yourself one question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?”
All kidding aside, I’m sure some people may find a need for an adaptive defensive weapon. You can get more information at:
