Monster trucks! Now tell me they don’t get your juices flowing?
This monster truck is a very special one. Dubbed the Airborne Ranger, it is the first monster truck to be rigged with hand controls for driving. Why hand controls and what is this all about anyway?
From the day this dream began, putting a smile on a child’s face was priority #1. This wonderful gift is brought to you by a series of tragic events.
Airborne Ranger Too began as the dream of “Ranger Joe” Cypher, a disabled Native American veteran who was left a paraplegic after a car accident in 1988. Despite doctors telling Joe he would never walk again, he now has the ability to walk with braces. Not only that, but Joe drives one of the world’s most popular Monster Trucks.
Bob Frank was always outdoors and on the move, until an unfortunate accident threatened to change his life. On Father’s Day 2004, Bob was in a water skiing accident that nearly severed his left foot. After 27 months of recovery, Bob was able to walk again.
Then Bob met Joe and the dream began. Bob and Joe have become brothers with the dream of growing the Airborne Ranger Motorsport team to another level.
Joe has extended his desire to help physically challenged children with the Ranger Joe Mobility Foundation, a non-profit charity. The Airborne Ranger Too shows children and adults of all ages that there are no limits. The Airborne Ranger Too was built so that every man, woman, and child can have the ride of their life.”
Here’s a peek at the cockpit of the Airborne Ranger Too. It’s quite the setup, quite a machine, and quite a cause that this mutant rolls for. You can read all about the machine and the cause at the Airbone Ranger Too website.
Hey catch a ride if you can. It looks like great fun and it helps the cause.
Be cool,
Ziggi
