Getting it done is sometimes a matter of wanting to do it.
A young North Carolina boy with Pitt-Hopkins Syndrome is now better able to communicate with those around him thanks to the efforts of his professor father and a group of Wake Forest University students.
“Paul Pauca, a professor at Wake Forest University, worked with his students this year to designed a computer app for the iPhone and other devices that will allow his son, Victor, to communicate.”
The young boy can now point to images on an iPhone or iPad and a related recorded message is played. There is no word on the commercial availability of this app as of yet.
