| DAY | |
| The United States Congress has designated March 25th of each year as NATIONAL MEDAL OF HONOR DAY, a day dedicated to Medal of Honor recipients. | |
| The purpose of the holiday is to recognize the heroism of the more than 3,400 recipients. Keep these great individuals in your thoughts and prayers today. They have honored us. Let us honor them today. | |
|
I have known a number of Medal of Honor winners. All were unassuming individuals who spoke little of their heroic deeds. They did not consider themselves heroes or great people. They thought of themselves only as Patriotic Americans. All of the Medal winners that I have known are gone now but I shall always remember and honor them. They are truly our greatest heroes. |
