Our Kids Take The Gold

Hey, our kids took the gold at the national games. Congrats to these great kids, coaches, sponsors, donors, and the fans who spurred them on during the season.

Junior Nets wheelchair basketball teamFor the second consecutive year the United Spinal Junior Nets wheelchair basketball team is National Wheelchair Basketball Association (NWBA) Prep League National Champions and 13-year-old Dylan Levine from Paramus, NJ won the Most Valuable Player Award. The team defended their title at this year’s National Jr. Prep Championships at the RiverPlex Recreation and Wellness Center in Peoria, Illinois. The team, comprised of youths ages 14 and under, is co-sponsored by United Spinal Association and the New Jersey Nets. The tournament ran from last Friday, March 10 to Sunday, March 12.

I’m sure that many of the kids on this team dreamed of a day like this. It’s amazing how little it takes to make these childhood dreams come true. Some great kids, a few dedicated volunteer coaches, and some support from the public.

The non-profit United Spinal Association funds a number of teams and events for adults and kids. These are made possible by donations from the public. Please consider donating so that these opportunities can continue to make dreams come true.
