Redman Rolls Out Black Hawk Standing Power Wheelchair

Redman Powerchair has just rolled out the sleek and modern Black Hawk. A powered wheelchair with an impressive array of onboard features.Image of a young lady in a Redman Black Hawk standing powered wheelchair. She is in an almost upright standing position.

For those not familiar with Redman, they have been manufacturing powered wheelchairs since the early 1990’s. They are considered to be pioneers of the standing powerd wheelchair industry.

But back to the Black Hawk. This rolling raptor offers a combination of features that reflects the needs of the contemporary wheeler and that are not customarily available in standing power wheelchairs.

In the Redman tradition- The wheelchair is equipped with blended multi-positioning seating and standing features that allow for an almost limitless choice of user positions. Added to that are new enhancements that set it apart from the field:

  • Cruise control so that you can kick back for the long haul.
  • More power than its daddy the 107 ZRX.
  • An onboard programmer
  • Blue Tooth technology that turns your joystick into a computer mouse
  • Large display with speedometer and clock
  • Ability to change the speed and performance profiles on the fly while moving

Redman has also done their homework on the physical design. The Black Hawk has been designed to take up less space than any other wheelchair in its class. When packing type 22 batteries and an 18″ wide seat it measures out at 23" wide, 39" long, and with 4" of ground clearance. As the name implies, it is available in a sleek black motif.

There will be information on the manufacturer’s website soon. It appears that I beat them to the punch on this one. Gotcha!
