From Australia, the Shelli Hand Pedal Wheelchair. Shelli offers the Hand Pedal Wheelchair that uses pedals’ to drive each back wheel independently by means of a chain and freewheel sprockets. This helps to eliminate some of the work involved in traditional manual wheelchair propulsion. Each back wheel has a back pedal hub brake fitted which allows easy braking and easy steering.

Braking is accomplished by pulling back on both levers. Turns are made by pushing one lever forward while braking on the opposing side. The wheelchair footrest is extended back under the seat and provides a platform for stowing your gear or baggage.
