Wheelchair Forums

| November 30, 2005

If you should need a blog break but still want to hang in the world of wheelchairs try one of these two landing places.

Invacare Yes, You Can Boards/Forum – Jenn and Invacare wheelchair users get into wheelchairs and assorted equipment.

Chairtalk – Ric and company roll on the four wheel needs of the wheelchair user.

Both of these forums rate high for friendliness and infobility and are great places for experienced as well as newbie wheelers to help each other out.

I would like to bring to your attention that we have created a collection of free wheelchair sports videos:

We are looking for more videos representing sports that are not yet in the collection, so would appreciate it if you would help us get the word out.

    Thanks

  2. Hello. We are working on a research project at the University of Wisconsin-Madison to understand the problems faced by users when they have to repair or maintain their mobility devices with personal funding. We would appreciate it if you could assist in our research efforts by taking part in our survey posted at:

    http://uwcreate.engr.wisc.edu/

Many of you have already participated. Thank you! Our research efforts depend on the valuable feedback and efforts of people like you. The survey is still open so please visit our website to let us know about your experiences.

    Thanks.

    Hello there everyone,
My name is James and I am from Australia, I am currently in year 12 at at high-school. I have chosen to do Design & Technology as one of my major subjects, this involves designing a product that can be used to solve a need. For example I have chosen to design a Flip down table that fits onto a wheelchair, it will be capable of…
    – Storing valuables securely,
    – Act as a dining table
    – Include mp3 player support for listening to music and watching videos on the go.

It would be so greatly appreciated if anyone that has the experience that I do not could email me or post back and let me know what you would think of such a product or what kind of things you would like included in a product like this. Ultimately this will help me design a better product for people in wheelchairs.
    My e-mail address is: coffs_crew@mac.com

Thank-you very much hope to hear from you soon…
