Strengths:Circular motion for maneuvering in tight places is a 8 (1-10)
Elevator entering and exiting is a 8 (1-10)
Use in a store environment is a 8 (1-10)
Overall this chair has great maneuverability.
Weaknesses:Sidewalk ramps vary in degrees and the climbing ability of this chair varies as well.It has a tendency to tilt or slide when on an uneven situation such as driveway ramps, sidewalk ramps and other uneven situations. This chair will spin to the left or right when climbing ramps.
The shock system leaves alot to be desired as it tends to bounce.
Comments:Overall this chair is functionally responsive and proves to be desireable for directional control. It`s use as an outdoor chair is not the greatest but for indoor use it is dependable due to its maneuverability.

Strengths:Excellant Strength.
Weaknesses:However very hard to climb ramps. Batteries are too small for 4-pole motors.
Comments:Needs to have a more flexable suspension system. And have larger battery boxes.

Pete from Brownsville,TX submitted this review on March 4th 2005 at 12:09 AM. Pete is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:9MPH w/super control, batteries, charger, and storage space. I put the charger and 30 ft. of wire in the rear4 compartment so I don't have to worry about dead batteries.
Weaknesses:Wobbly at high speed, frame and fenders lasted only 2 years, of occasional use. I stripped it down to the frame and did a retrofit. There were many problems and potential problems. Foam filled tire fell off in two years. Will not go with only 5 wheels:) Seat too hard and not adjustable foreward to back or height. Good thing I can still run my welder.
Comments:The answer to the wobbly feeling and racheting wheels is in the COMPUTER. Get your dealer to eliminate the energy savings.

Eliminate the constant ratteling of the fenders with some cable ties. Don't ever believe the battery settings on the control. That's how I got stranded before I started carrying the charger.

John from Guelph, Ontario, Canada submitted this review on May 14th 2004 at 08:48 PM. John is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:I have had this power wheelchair for 18 months. No problems with motors, batteries, electronics (yet. Great turning radius
Weaknesses:rough - i have it for indoor and outdoor use - poor traction outdoors - rain, gets stuck easily. Accessory parts poor -everything shakes apart - constant retightening, replacement of scews etc.
Comments:This is my first power wheelchair. If I had it to do over again, I would choose a more durable, sturdier model. Max speed 3.5 m.p.h. - rough, chair looses parts as I travel. Poor or no response from sales, poor warranty
Durability? This reviewer rated this product a 2 in durabilityEase of use? This reviewer rated this product a 3 in ease of use

Robert from Vernon , BC, Canada submitted this review on November 12th 2003 at 10:48 PM. Robert is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:none
Weaknesses:controller and both motors burned out in the first year. In the second year the controller and the motors burned out again.
Each time there were Can$4500 repairs done. Climbs curbs poorly. Always over-heated going uphill and the controller cut out until the reset cooled down, leaving me stranded on the road. This chair only comes with a one year warranty and they would not extend the warranty to the parts replaced (new motors and new controller)
Comments:I was extremely unhappy with the Pronto R2 powerchair, and with the response from Invacare.
