|Strengths:||I also have the (2008' Model of Pride Jazzy Select 14)/it is a remake of my old Jet 2. I had such good luck with my Jet 2, (same motors, batteries, frame), that I upgraded to the select 14 after 6 happy years with my jazzy jet 2. No problems so far after 2 months use. Great battery life, handling, easy on buses, trains, shopping. I take mine very far, on a fresh charge. I Carry my power cord just in case I need it.|
|Weaknesses:||none so far. a little mild gear noise now and then. The motors and gearboxes will break down at some point. It is the nature of most brands of chairs in this class with 2 pole motors and a main nylon gear, (for quietness).|
|Comments:||I really like my jazzy select 14. The 14" wheels roll over bumpy roads with ease.|
I am c4 quad and can not afford to get stuck. I am a retired robotics technician and understand lead acid batteries, how to make them last, and how to treat 2 pole motors. Never deep cycle discharge your batteries. They will never be the same. I read over and over about battery problems in all chair brands. It is user error. Charge them every nite for long life. Never get into the RED.
I also have a Golden Technologies Avenger 4 wheel scooter with the same batteries.
