Ann is an end user who has over five years of experience with the product. | | Strengths: | This chair is fast, has a simple design yet enough options to adjust to my size and height. I love the bracket that allows the joystick to swing out of my way. It makes it so much easier to sit comfortably at tables and desks. It also swings out of my way when I need to transfer. | | Weaknesses: | I'm not sure what's going on with Quickie, but they don't seem to make quality parts any more. If they do make quality parts, well then, they're certainly not shipping them to me! | | Comments: | I had a Quickie P110 for over 10 years, and I experienced very few problems. Eventually though, it wore out, but the Quickie V-121 seemed like an excellent replacement chair.
I am a small woman and I don't put a lot of wear on my equipment, but I do NEED it. I cannot walk at all, so when a chair gives out, my life literally comes to a standstill.
The V-121 should be ideal for me, and for the first few years it was fine. After the wheel motors went out however, the chair has been nothing but headaches.
The motors I got last year had intermittent problems, with one wheel clicking and not turning at the same rate as the other wheel. However, I decided to put up with it for a while because it wasn't that bad.
I went for new motors this year though. The first pair broke within hours of installation. The chair jerked me around like a bucking bronco. Of course the parts were under warranty, so they were returned.
The replacement motors have the exact same problem! Only now the jerking happens when I back up instead of when I go forward. I guess some might call that an improvement?
If I need to get a new chair, I don't know what I'm going to do. This experience has ruined my faith in the Quickie brand, and I don't see any other simple, small, fast chairs like this.
I'm not looking for a complicated seating system or any other bells and whistles. I just need the basic joystick, battery and motors that work reliably!
This could be an excellent chair if they put more effort into making quality parts. | | Durability? | | | Ease of use? | | | Meet expectations? | | | Overall Rating: | |

| Christy from Vacaville, California USA submitted this review on July 27th 2011 at 05:57 PM. Christy is a care giver who has less than a month of experience with the product. | | Strengths: | It is FAST, Holds a charge for a long time, Joystick response time is excellent, It will climb like it is a 4wd. On concrete, asphalt, carpet, and dirt roads. Incline is no problem up or down. It is comfortable | | Weaknesses: | It fits me fine, but if someone had wide hips, it might not be as comfortable. It could use a drink holder. | | Comments: | I was just checking it out at my moms house, which is a rural area with no sidewalks. I went out the driveway to the mailbox (gravel), then went from gravel area to asphalt (street)down to the 2nd driveway,to the access road (dirt & gravel and Big rocks)went across area to the incline (gradual mountain)cruised up to the horsebarn then the concrete walkway (down hill)AND proceeded down a very steep cemented area that runs along side cement steps. (My Brother used this as a skateboard jump ramp) No problem! scared the unowhat out of my mom, but it is sturdy, powerful and fun. | | Durability? | | | Ease of use? | | | Meet expectations? | | | Overall Rating: | |
