| Ralph from Mountain Home,AR submitted this review on January 14th 2013 at 02:24 PM. Ralph is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product. | | Strengths: | I'm still trying to find one. | | Weaknesses: | I've had to continually get the programing right. Pride thinks that when you turn a corner that you have to keep turning it until they thinks its safe to stop turning and then will not stop until they thinks its safe for you to stop. Thus you will make huge turns slamming into things like door frames or keep going until you stop at a wall. | | Comments: | Piece of junk. Look for something better. The range they tell you is off by 80% the speed can only be gotten if you are 120 pounds 70 mph wind at your back down hill then you might get close to advertised speeds and range. | | Durability? | | | Ease of use? | | | Meet expectations? | | | Overall Rating: | |

| Ralph from Mountain Home, Arkansas, United States submitted this review on November 30th 2012 at 08:49 AM. Ralph is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product. | | Strengths: | I didn't find any. The chair will no way get close to the 8 mph advertised. As far as going 20 miles on a charge that is a bunch of B------s. I can only get about 7 at the very most, that's with new batteries at full charge. There is this stupid torque push when it thinks you need it if you want it or not, thus you CAN NOT control it in corners. | | Weaknesses: | I've had to change batteries way to often, changed motors after a month, changer leg rests 4 times (they keep breaking off ant the weld. Extremely bad engineering in the electronics. There is also a very bad keep turning feature that Pride thinks you must have to use this junk. | | Comments: | I would be very careful of buying this thing again if ever. | | Durability? | | | Ease of use? | | | Meet expectations? | | | Overall Rating: | |

| James from Perth, Western Australia submitted this review on August 1st 2012 at 05:08 AM. James is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product. | | Strengths: | Very smooth driving chair, handles bumps and small kerbs very well thanks to good rear suspension and large front casters also pretty good off road too, Fast and very responsive handling, Great battery life, Comes with a nice color screen controller which has some pretty cool options such as speedometer, trip odometer and clock. | | Weaknesses: | Plastic fenders on back of chair are not very strong doesn't take much to crack them or snap them off (have broken 2 sets in about 6 months) but easy to remove them, Plastic cover underneath very easy to break also due to being held on by only 2 plastic bolts but can be easily removed also, yellow levers to take chair out of drive stick out a bit to much and easily gets knocked out of drive when bumped, Other than that it's a very tough chair not a lot of other weaknesses really. | | Comments: | I have had 3 power chairs and the R-4000 has been by far the best one, Very reliable only had one or two breakdowns in nearly 3 years still going strong, Fast and powerful motors, If your looking for a good all round rear wheel drive chair I highly recommend the R-4000, | | Durability? | | | Ease of use? | | | Meet expectations? | | | Overall Rating: | |

| Todd from Elko, Nevada, USA submitted this review on January 27th 2009 at 05:38 PM. Todd is an end user who has six months to a year of experience with the product. | | Strengths: | Rear wheel drive handles wet grass and loose gravel with ease. | | Weaknesses: | | | Comments: | Anyone looking for a RWD chair the R4000 should be given a good look. If you are looking for color the R4000 just has the fenders colored the rest is black. The frame looks like the truck bed liner material and I hope it is as tough. It is a good looking chair with reflectors built in the back and a nice rugged look.
The R4000 in true RWD fashion handles deep loose gravel, thick grass, 3in curb and most rough terrain, yet handles tight spots even with the 9in casters. I followed a friend in 4x4 chair and except for the crazy 4x4 stuff I was able to follow along and once we hit pavement could have left him crawling along, love the Hammer motors, 8mph (you do lose some torque for speed though).
The ride is stiff and I needed to let air out of the tires to smooth out the ride.
I have Q logic with the high speed hammer motors. I was impressed with the programming right out of the box, just a few tweaks and I was good to start.
The Q logic has pros and cons, the large joy stick is just waiting to snag something and the screen is very hard to see in daylight…but the gadgets are cool, the trip odometer, speed odometer and clock are fun to play with. | | Durability? | | | Ease of use? | | | Meet expectations? | | | Overall Rating: | |
