Strengths:Easier to get around than using the hand rims on the wheelchair. Coasting down hills is easy. Steering and braking is 200% easier than using your hand rims on a wheelchair. Geared for getting around faster. Smooths out bumps! Geared speed and momentum helps to access small hills and slopes. Great cardio workout! Gets you further from home faster! Able to keep up with friends who are joggers and walkers! Unit attaches easily to the chair and detaches easily and is small enough to fit in the trunk of the car.
Weaknesses:Going up hill is hard! Grades over 21% are almost impossible unless you have momentum, because the front wheel drive starts to slip. Front wheel slips in the wet or on dusty sidewalks, grass etc. Takes you further from home, faster which means further to go to get home! Don't expect to be able to keep up with your friends on their bikes.
Comments:I would recommend this unit to anyone that needs to get regular exercise and likes to get out on a regular basis. Freedom to go to the park and local shops. So far so good time will tell on durability!
