Strengths:very comfortable with excellent support for back and spine. I like that it is light weight but sturdy
Weaknesses:non so far
Comments:I have used a wheelchair all my life. I sit 12 or more hours a day and have used foam and gel cushions. After doing extensive research I decided to try the Supracor. I didn't want to spend $220 but it was worth it. Yesterday I went on a 1 hour Nature course and the cushion was very comfortable. I do not have a risk for sores or infection so I cannot address that issue. The cost of the cushion was well worht it.

Bob from Alabama, USA submitted this review on March 21st 2008 at 09:33 PM. Bob is an end user who has one to six months of experience with the product.
Strengths:Ultra lightweight, easy maintenance, good support and posturing, good ventilation for warm environments. Can be washed in a washing machine on gentle cycle and dried quickly.
Weaknesses:None, so far
Comments:I'm a 31+ year quad and a long time Roho, Low Profile user. Roho makes a good cushion, but it's guaranteed to go flat at some point (and usually at the most inconvenient moment for me). I got tired of patching the Roho(s) (I've had 6 over the past 16 yrs) and studied the other wc cushions available. After reading everything I could find about cushions on the internet, including the reviews posted here, I decided to try the Supracor Stimulite Slimline which is comparable in price to the Low Profile. I'm extremely glad that I did. It's a firmer ride than the Roho, but that's fine with me and I'm able to sit upright better without slumping, than I could on the Roho. So far, I'm very pleased with the Stimulite.

The overall comfort and positioning provided by a wc cushion is very subjective, and my advice is to "try before buy." What works for one person might be horrible for the next. I contacted Supracor and was told that the Co. had a return policy that would allow me to try a cushion for a few days. If it didn't work for me, then my local dealer could return it as long it was clean, showed no damage and still had original packaging, papers and tags. Couldn't ask for more, and that policy alone gave me a good feeling about Supracor.

Michael from Austin, Texas submitted this review on January 15th 2006 at 07:58 AM. Michael is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Light, easy maintenance, durable, good support and stability. My butt stays cooler and drier in the heat we have here in Texas during the summer than it has with any other cushion I've used.
Weaknesses:None from my perspective.
Comments:For my needs, this is the best cushion I've owned. I especially like how easily it cleans and the low maintenance. I'm very active with low to moderate risk of skin breakdown and this is the perfect cushion for me. Everything I expected and more. This is an outstanding product. There IS a break-in period (for me it was about a week) during which the cushion gets shaped to the ischials. The cushion will feel a little stiff during that time, but for me the break-in period was in no way uncomfortable and I have some sensation.
