| David from Va. submitted this review on July 13th 2004 at 08:58 PM. David is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product. | | Strengths: | Easy to operate. | | Weaknesses: | Very poor(practically nonexistant) manufacturer's support after sales, including "LaBac"(on tilt/recline systems). If you,re looking for a chair that will render you immobile because of something as simple as a toggle switch or charging receptacle, this is the one friend. One of the only power chairs produced that isn't fully compatable with the "EZ Lock"restraint system for vehicle use.Maybe 1 in 4 on non-tilt/recline chairs. | | Comments: | My chair is a 98'model(not received until Dec.2000).After 3.5 years of moderate use(original batteries still hold good charge),the electrical system is gone.Thank GOD!!.Scrounging for simple parts has consumed way too much of both the dealer's and my time.Because of the lack of manufacturer's support,I was lucky enough to receive a slighty used chair of another brand.Maybe you people with newer models will have a better experience. But I have yet to find A new chair or used parts dealer with anything good to say, except that they were once one of the best. When the founding CEO passed away the company's good reputation soon died also. After chapter 11{bankrupt)E&J was purchased by "Graham Field".I'm not sure when, but my 98'model lancer 2000 carries the "Graham Field"logo under the seat, inside of frame.Maybe I'll eventually find the used parts necessarry to make it suitable as A backup. But used parts dealers caution;Even chairs of the same model are seldom alike.Isn't there a law requiring wheel chair manufacturers to make available duplicate parts for at least 7 years? | | Durability? | | | Ease of use? | | | Meet expectations? | | | Overall Rating: | |

| Dora from Spring Hill, FL 34606, U.S.A. submitted this review on May 8th 2004 at 02:28 PM. Dora is an end user who has less than a month of experience with the product. | | Strengths: | It is comfortable and does hold full charge well. It's a little too slow making hills. | | Weaknesses: | To wide to fit through doorways, needed to widen doorways in house and front door. Arms rests are not long enough. Too far to reach back for arm rests and not easy to get out of with straight leg. | | Comments: | I need a computer charger to increase speed on third and fourth gears. The provider tells me they do not have one to increase the speeds while driving on roadways. I have had this Lancer 2,000 since 2001, but was uncomfortable at first getting used to it. Now I use it most of the times. However, wheelchair vans do not want me to use it on their transport; because it is hard to tie down. | | Durability? | | | Ease of use? | | | Meet expectations? | | | Overall Rating: | |
