Strengths:A powerful looking beast.
Weaknesses:Too technical for disabled users
Comments:I used this for 16 weeks before losing confidence in its ability to get me from A to B and back.

Linda from Nr Portsmouth, UK submitted this review on August 14th 2010 at 04:56 AM. Linda is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Brilliant machine, performs exactly as spec. Been up Butser Hill, top of Hound Tor on Dartmoor, round Snowdonia, Braunton Burrows with the tyre pressures reduced to cope with the sand. Got stuck in deep boggy mud first time out but a bit of rocking in my seat released it. I have the older Mk1 which I believe has greater tork. Mine has been fitted with a selector to choose left or right hand throttle which is of enormous benefit to me. Beamers are accommodating in fitting adaptions for any user.
Weaknesses:Not quite all terrain but almost. The steering is fairly heavy but I got used to it quite quickly. The throttle can be quite fierce but you can use the other controls to adjust the top speed.
Comments:I have not found a better mobility scooter to cope with rough terrain. I would not change mine for anthing else I know of, I've even changed my car to cope better with transporting it. It has given me my ramblers lifestyle back again. Just need to rid the countryside of stiles and kissing gates. Don't know why this web site has categorised it as a wheelchair it's a mobility scooter. Beamers the manufacturers has won the Queens Award for Industry for this machine - www.tramper.co.uk.

Peter from Winchester, UK submitted this review on June 13th 2007 at 05:22 AM. Peter is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Great 'off road' device for those of us with mobility problems. Allows me access to all my large garden, farm roads for walks with dogs and recently National and State Parks in SW USA. Even down to Spruce House at Mesa Verde!
Weaknesses:It's not cheap and a more contoured seat would help those with poor 'core stability'?
Comments:I've had mine in UK for > 5years with no problems and recently I took one round SW USA in trailer - it gave me wonderful access to your fabulous countryside. I gather it will soon be available in USA - Go for it!

Thomas from Guildford, England submitted this review on September 30th 2006 at 03:34 AM. Thomas is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Goes almost everywhere; very rugged, extreemly comfortable. Very light steering. Large hidden locker.
Weaknesses:
Comments:My Tramper is now 6 years old and going strong. I use it everyday, mainly off-road, often in very muddy conditions. In 2003 I drove the the famous South Downs Way (140 miles on dirt) complete with luggage in 7 days. There is nothing to compare with the Tramper! Also see www.disabledramblers.co.uk.

Edward from Wales, Gwynedd submitted this review on May 25th 2004 at 03:53 PM. Edward is an end user who has less than a month of experience with the product.
Strengths:Stability, ease of use
Weaknesses:Seat a bit high for short users and steering could do with a bit of assistance, otherwise couldnt find any!.
Comments:My daughter who is Downs Syndrome with a severe heart condition,
found it easy to use apart from above comments, and she would like one!!.
