Caz from dorset, Uk submitted this review on June 20th 2010 at 05:52 AM. Caz is a care giver who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:So easy to transport, looks good small compaired to powered chair.
Weaknesses:Has no grip in wet weather, easy to overturn sideways (driven by 12 year old) very expensive to replace parts (joy stick over 700)
Comments:We now have one wheel that has free play when in electric mode, plastic cap keeps coming off, need to order a new wheel this week as it has totaly stoped and can not move it to manual or remove. overall not reliable. good idea needs to be re thought ie larger front wheels and better treaded tyres.

TAMMY from CENTER, TX, USA submitted this review on July 8th 2008 at 09:27 PM. TAMMY is an end user who has over five years of experience with the product.
Strengths:looks, comfort, durability, easy to maneuver & adjustment of controls, easy to change from manual to electric/electric to manual, & very light-weight.
Weaknesses:only 1 I can think of: if something has to be worked on, it has to be shipped to Pennsylvania, so the wait time to get it back can be very long- up to a month or longer, which can be a real bummer....especially if you don't have a back-up chair. But if you have a service agent that is near to you, I'm sure that the wait time wouldn't be as long.
Comments:I love my E-fix chair & wouldn't trade it for any other kind!

Judi from U.K. submitted this review on February 20th 2004 at 03:20 AM. Judi is an end user who has less than a month of experience with the product.
Strengths:Adaptability, ability to fold, great multi purpose chair. Folds easily for travel.
Weaknesses:Doesn't climb kerbs, unpredictable on slopes as it tends to go at an agle rather than straight. Only a few dealers in the U.K.
Comments:This has transformed my life, it turned my manual chair into a fully functional electric chair, but if I turn the motors of I can still use the chair as a normal manual chair. If the battery runs out, or if I am in a really tight space I can use the chair as a normal manual chair. The chair still folds - just slip the battery out of the holder and the chair folds just as it did before it was adapted. The wheels are quick release for easy removal if I want to carry the chair in my daughters tiny car. I have taken the chair on a transatlantic flight, and on coach holidays with no problems.
The beauty of this system is that it wil;l fit to most manual chairs, so it is fairly easy to find a chair that will meet your needs.
Obviously it is much heavier than a normal manual chair, but it is lighter than most electric chairs.
I would hate to have to be without my efix now.
