Brian from Gobles, MI submitted this review on July 27th 2011 at 10:46 AM. Brian is an end user who has over ten years of experience with the product.
Strengths:Excellent performance with little to no maintenance or concerns. Easy to transfer in and out of.
Weaknesses:The weight and you will have to replace the gel insert after some time, but we are talking multiple years. They should use more Velcro to hold the gel in place.
Comments:Other than wishing they were lighter, I had great results using them for some 20 years. The last coupe years I have not been using one because I was sitting on a ROHO when I spec'ed my new chair, due to a leak in my (old) gel in the Jay, some 5 years old. When I purchased a Jay Active for my new chair, I found I sat too high. This has left me using/trying other cushions and it has been a challenge, where I miss the no worries of the Jay Active. Now, if they could find a way to lighten it.

Sarah from United Kingdom submitted this review on September 14th 2009 at 11:27 AM. Sarah is an end user who has six months to a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Brilliant! probably one of the best things i have ever bought, i was having many problems with pressure sores, and being so uncomfotuble sat in my chair all day, this cusion provided instant relief from all of my problems.
Weaknesses:I have read that it will need to be replaced after so long, and it is quite expensive. It also adds weight to your chair, but its worth it.
Comments:Fantastic, no more pressure problems anymore!!!

Strengths:No pressure sores since started using this cushion in 1991
Weaknesses:they need to be replaced after about 2 1/2 to 3 years depending on how much your in your chair and how active you are.
Comments:I have tried other cushions and nothing has even come close to keeping my butt from getting red like the Jay active does.

Jessie from Elma, WA USA submitted this review on April 12th 2007 at 03:51 PM. Jessie is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:very comfortable, easy to wipe clean, good shape, no pressure sore since using the Jay Active
Weaknesses:gel pouch leaks after about 2 years of use, and its hard to repair with patch kits. Gel tends to shift a lot if sitting on cushion for long periods of time
Comments:I really like the Jay Active cushion. Its very comfortable and easy to clean. This is the best cushion by far for anyone needing a gel/foam cushion.

Strengths:Shape of the cushion.
Weaknesses:Flotation bladders will leak after about 3 years use.
Comments:This is a fine product and one I use with a great feeling of confidence. I spend an average of 16 hours per day in my chair and the Jay cushion makes that possible.
