Chris from Bristol, UK submitted this review on July 8th 2010 at 04:23 PM. Chris is an end user who has over five years of experience with the product.
Strengths:It's a tough wee beastie! I've got an early model and it's still going very well indeed.
It's exhilarating, but safe. Gets quite addictive.
A very cheap (and environmentally friendly) sport to enjoy once you have the kit.
Very easy to pick up, but it gets better with practise.
I can assemble and get in mine on my own.
Weaknesses:It would be great if there were more venues to use it.
Many events are on beaches, which is a pain for wheelchairs, but get some off-road tyres and a FreeWheel attachment and you're off.
Comments:I'm paraplegic (T7 complete) and a qualified BLSA Blokart instructor. I been racing for 2 years and have come first twice, beating able-bodied competitors.
I offer tasters to people with paralysis through the charity Sportability in the UK.

Santi from Binissalem, Mallorca, Spain submitted this review on January 12th 2009 at 07:37 PM. Santi is a care giver who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:Light, compact, easy to learn, safety, with a lot of extras to upgrade or use your blokart with a co-pilot on land, ice or... come back to the water. The Spirit of Blokart, doesn't matter your age, genre or physical condition you can enjoy it or compete with everybody because only weight categories makes the difference.
From a small breeze you beggin to have fun.
Weaknesses:You become an addict.
Comments:During 2 years I pushed my blokart to the limit in extreme wind and surface conditions around the world.
I enjoyed blokart with boys and girls from 10 to 75 y.o. (on a blokart you become a kid!) with medullar lesions, brain palsy, muscular diseases, amputations... in competition!!!
Is a team sport where everyone is independent.
After 20 years of chronic illness I become the World Champion in Production Heavyweight blokart categorie. My training? two years having fun without previous sailing experience.

Dean from Michigan submitted this review on October 10th 2004 at 11:52 AM. Dean is an end user who has over a year of experience with the product.
Strengths:easy 5 minute rigging, lightweight (only 43 lbs) folds up into small bag which can be put into trunk of car. Ease of sailing. Anyone who has ever sailed a small boat can start right out. New sailors are sailing within minutes with few instructions.
Weaknesses:None for the BloKart however I wish there were more parking lots which are suitable. Many areas have parks or abandoned airports which work very well.
Comments:I purchased my Blo-Kart about over a year ago and then a few months later, I purchased my second one. I have been a sailor for about 30 years and I love my Blo-Kart. I am not handicapped but I believe this would be an excellent way to get handicapped people involved in a fun sport. We organize informal races in parking lots with plastic pylons. It is some of the most exciting fun I have ever had in my life. If a caregiver could help a physically impaired person rig and board the blo-kart, it would be a great thing.
