Theradyne Aviator Aisle Lift Chair
Image of Theradyne Aviator Aisle Lift Chair
Theradyne Aviator Aisle Lift Chair, aviation transport chair. Available in electronic or hydraulic lift technology, the Lift Chair safely raises passengers (up to 350 lbs.) to the height of the fixed armrest of the airplane aisle seat, allowing flight and gate attendants to make an easy and safe lateral transfer. This not only reduces injury risk to the passenger, but to airline employees as well.

Paul from Staten Island, NY submitted this review on May 22nd 2003 at 01:23 PM. Paul is an end user who has one to six months of experience with the product.
Strengths:Much easier to independently transfer over fixed armrests when getting into airline seats (Bulkhead seating).
Weaknesses:Getting out of same seating still requires the heave-ho of airline personnel.
Comments:I recently used one of these at an airport in Florida. What a pleasure it was to have the seat raised high enough so that I could transfer over the fixed armrest without being beaten up by airline personnel. The only weakness that I see is that there are not enough of these in use.
