Anchors Away
The Anchors Away Program is a non-profit organization located in Charleston SC. They use watersports to liberate and empower people with both mental and physical disabilities, as well as our returning veterans. Since 1995, the program has worked to do away with the ‘anchors’ that have traditionally limited people with disabilities, youth at risk and the elderly in the South Carolina area. Anchors Away serves all types of abilities and gender/age/race populations and defines a person with a disability as anyone who does not have equal access or ability to utilize the same recreational resources that are available to the majority of the community.

Lakeshore Foundation is a non-profit organization that provides sports, fitness and recreation to people with physical disabilities and chronic health conditions. The organization provides programs and services to both adults and children. Lakeshore Foundation's Lima Foxtrot programs include a number of weekend-long camps that bring injured military personnel and their families from across the country to Alabama.
